One year the Birmingham City Council tried to organise a Christmas Market themselves - it was pathetic!
Talking of our wonderful Council - A few months ago parts of the city were hit by a mini tornado. Quite a few houses (in one of the poorest areas) are still surrounded by scaffolding. The council now wants to charge them for the hire of the scaffolding! Oh well, I suppose they have to make money to pay for the next slap up do/ trip abroad etc for themselves somehow.

The Frankfurt Christmas Market has become an annual event in Birmingham.

The station for Mary Arden's house - a couple of miles from Stratford-upon-Avon.
